Very prominent companies have held their exclusive off-sites, board retreats and conferences at the very private Redgate Ranch, with some of the illustrious guests even landing their helicopters on the nearby ridge.
For folks who want remote, Californian, gorgeous and extraordinary, Redgate makes for an unforgettable wedding site. We can put you in touch with providers who have done many events on the ranch and do a spectacular, arty, fun, chic, high-end job of it. (e.g. ShelterCo)
The ranch straddles 625 acres between San Gregorio Creek and Bogess Creek, set back on a country road off of Highway 84. The “Shackteau” is decorated in global shabby chic (Amanda is a travel writer). It is approximately 1,000-square feet with three bedrooms that can sleep up to six, a small kitchen, a gas fired “wood stove'“, and one full bathroom. The shabby chic extends to the outhouse for event bathroom overflow. The adjacent space contains three BBQ’s, a 13-foot redwood slab table, many other seating areas, a campfire circle, a stage, two trampolines, a kid’s playground, and two shady heavenly hammocks in the old orchard. This area is ideal for one day smaller gatherings of less than 100 people and is well suited to music events (no time constraints!)
¼ mile north of the Shackteau is a gorgeous creekside campground (the “campsite”) with a “loo with a view” (i.e. private outhouse-without-the-house). This area is perfect for overnight “glamping” for smaller events of 50 people or less.
½ mile up the Corte Madera valley is a very large flat area (the “amphitheater”) with beautiful views up and down the valley. This is the best space for both daytime activities and overnight “glamping” at corporate events and high-end weddings for 100-200 people below (see below).
A network of roads extends four miles around the property offering great access to the ridges with ocean views, which is our favorite spot for sundowners and sunsets.
